Serving as resource Speakers in the Information Caravan on Plant Nursery Accreditation and Plant Material Certification for Plant Nursery Operations | June 18 – 20, 2024, in Region X and Region XIII
The Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Pest Management Division (BPI-CPMD) representative, Mr. Jairus J. Abellar, attended and served as the resource speaker for the Information Caravan on Accreditation for Plant Nursery Operations and Certification for Plant Material. DA-NMACLRC, Dalwanagan Malaybalay City, Bukidnon (Region X), on June 18, 2024, and Mabuhay, Kahayagan, Coffee Growers Association, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, on June 20, 2024.
During the presentation, Mr. Abellar shared his knowledge and experience about the management of coffee and cocoa pests and diseases; moreover, the initiative of the Bureau of Plant Industry introduced and oriented nursery operators in the region to the requirements, the accreditation process, and the certification of plant material. The objective of the information caravan is to promote and improve the fruit and plantation crop sectors of the region.
