The BPI Crop Pest Management Division (BPI-CPMD) led by Mr. Remigio C. Tabil, Ma’am Precerpina B. Luzaran, and Mr. John Paul Maminta in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology’s Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) led by Dr. Jennifer P. Tamayo together with her team recently embarked on a field visit to Nueva Ecija.
The objective of the activity was to coordinate with onion farmers for the validation of a farm that will serve as the testing ground for the “PCAARD-BAMBOO LIQUOR PH” project. The team met with the Rice, Onion, and Corn Growers Association in Brgy. Dolores, Nueva Ecija to delve into details surrounding the upcoming onion planting season. Additionally, they deliberated on the budget allocation for the upcoming field trial and conducted a tour of the designated farm for the project’s testing phase.
