The Development of Innovation System for Climate Smart Pest Management in Rice had conducted a meeting and team workshop for the different research activities of existing BCAs on new target pests and the preparation for the upcoming evaluation of Biocon laboratories on April 18–19, 2024, at the Network Commons Meeting Room of the International Rice Research Institute, Los Baños, Laguna. During the workshop, participants collectively evaluated the methodology for experiments and other research studies to be conducted by project members. The review will help ensure that methodology aligns with the research questions, research studies are conducted according to appropriate experimental design, and, consequently, the validity and reliability of each research study.
This workshop was initiated by the International Rice Research Institute and participated by the Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Pest Management Division (BPI-CPMD) and Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) proponents. This singled out the needs of the different teams for a successful process and workflow for doing research activities and evaluations.
