The Bureau of Plant Industry – Crop Pest Management Division (BPI-CPMD) continued to support the Bureau of Plant Industry-National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS) ongoing series of Information Caravans on Plant Nursery Accreditation and Plant Material Certification for Plant Nursery Operators on August 15, 2024, at the Salgado’s Integrated Farm, San Francisco, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.
Ms. Diana Tabudlong, BPI-NSQCS Agriculturist II, led the one-day event, which drew approximately 50 farm owners and technicians from the region. As part of the session, Ms. Apel Jae Clemente, BPI-CPMD Science Research Specialist I, covered cacao pests and diseases, as well as management measures. Various topics were also discussed by technical staff from BPI divisions and Region IVB focals.
