Event: Agri-Ugnayan Information Caravan

The Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Pest Management Division staff Mr. Melvin C. Banagbanag attended an act as resource speaker on Agri-Ugnayan Information Caravan held on Isabela Convention Center, Cauayan City, Isabela. This is organized by Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02 (DA RFO 02) in collaboration with the DA Central Office, Agriculture and Fisheries Information Division (DA-AFID).
Mr. Banagbanag discussed the Biological Control and Integrated Pest Management Initiative of the Bureau of Plant Industry. This info caravan is attended by group of stakeholders including Provincial and Local Government Units (LGUs), Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs), Private Sector Representatives, Farmers and Animal Raisers and Exhibitors.
The Agri-Ugnayan Information Caravan in Cagayan Valley served as an important platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building among farmers, stakeholders, and government agencies. The event highlighted the DA’s continued efforts to modernize agriculture by fostering collaboration and promoting innovations in agriculture, the DA is taking vital steps toward realizing the vision of a “Bagong Pilipinas” a future where food security and market competitiveness are at the forefront of national development.
