The BPI-CPMD joined the five-day Information Caravan of the Department of Agriculture- National Urban and Peri-Urban Program (NUPAP) together with other divisions of Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) on November 20–24, 2023, with the theme:Agrikultura sa Kalunsuran para sa Masaganang Kinabukasan! The objective of the program is to strengthen and convey knowledge and technology regarding urban farming.

The program was successfully launched in four (4) selected cities of the National Capital Region (NCR), namely: (1) Sunnyville Community Model Farm, Quezon City; (2) Alabang Central Market, Muntinlupa; (3) Lakeshore Activity Center, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City. and (4). Disiplina Village, Brgy. Bignay, Valenzuela City.The CPMD staff presented the Integrated Pest Management Strategies (IPM) on Common Vegetable Pests and Diseases and highlighted the importance of Biological Control Agents (BCA) as one of the best options for pest and disease management.The staff also distributed BCAs to farmer participants.
