BPI-CPMD attends 1st plant Pathology National Congress 2024 | February 21-23, 2024

The Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Pest Management Division (CPMD) staff, Ms. Russ-Uzi Mayenne Ebora, Ms. Jade Enot-Sanidad, Mr. Jairus Abellar and Mr. Ulysses Duqueattended and participated the 1st Plant Pathology National Congress held at the University of the Philipppines, Los Banos, Laguna on February 21-23, 2024.

The congress is an initiative of the Philippine Phytopathological Society (PPS) to engage all plant pathologist from all over the Philippines to discuss crop diseases situations in different regions and call to action to address these disease concerns. With all the scientific progress focused on digitalization and smart agriculture, plant pathology as a field should be on the forefront catering to stakeholder’s welfare.In addition, the activity also highlights the current researches, projects and experiences on crop diseases and discuss opportunities where PPS can assist and influence.
